Banu Kurtoğlu

She graduated from the Department of Turkish Folk Dances at ITU State Conservatory in 2001. In the same year, she completed her education at Private Nilay Ballet Course, where she had been continuing her studies, and earned the right to work as an instructor. In line with her interest in dance and performing arts, she participated in various certificate and workshop programs.

She began her professional career in 1994 at the Bakırköy Folk Dances Tourism Association. She worked as a dancer and instructor at Beşiktaş Public Education Center, Kadıköy Public Education Center, Galatasaray High School and University, and Mimar Sinan University.

She also worked as an assistant choreographer, vocalist, and dancer at Istanbul City Theatres. At Shaman Dance Theatre, founded in 2004, she served as an assistant director, choreographer, dancer, and instructor for the children’s group. She currently continues to work as a Folk Dances and Dance Teacher at Doğa College and as a character dance instructor at Private Nilay Ballet Course.
